Despair, alongside her rats, dwells in The Gray Realm, a space filled with fog and countless free-floating mirrors - mirrors in which people are looking at themselves, and Despair is looking back at them. Despair is the younger twin of Desire and appears to be a squat, naked, morbidly obese woman.Capricious and self-centered, Desire's vanity holds no bounds its realm is The Threshold and from an aerial shot, it is revealed to be the form of Desire itself, a statue of their body in which Desire lives in the heart. Desire is the older twin of Despair with no gender, appearing in no fixed form but the one that is most desired by the onlooker. However, when he lived in hiding, he left his gallery within him where he left it in a locked room of his house which he called "The Family Room". having abandoned his duties as an Endless, his realm was stated to be completely abandoned and sealed, with no one being able to enter into the realm as no one was within to give an invitation. While he was with the family, however, he was boisterous and warm-hearted, the one that effectively held the family together in relative amity. Since then, he has made very little contact with his siblings. Destruction is a broad-shouldered, red-head man of apparently tall height. He is noticeably kinder and more open than Morpheus was. The two are in fact the same being, with Daniel being a different "point of view" of the dream lord. Daniel possesses all of Morpheus' memories. He became the new Dream Lord after Morpheus gave up his existence against the Kindly Ones Daniel then absorbed Dream's very essence and transformed into the entity. Daniel Hall is the successor to Morpheus. His sigil is the helm that he wears into battle. His realm is The Dreaming, one of the main settings of the Sandman story. His eyes often glitter strangely, like twin stars. His 70 years of imprisonment have changed him with major effects, as shown throughout the books.
